This policy explains, plainly and accurately, what happens to your information when you use Better Beauty. It's written to reflect exactly how the site currently works.
Better Beauty doesn't require a login. The skin and preference profile you build in the quiz is held only in your browser's memory for the current session — by default, it is never sent to or stored on a Better Beauty server. Closing the tab clears it completely, unless you use the optional save feature described below.
If you complete a personalized routine, you can choose to generate a short save code, or have a link texted to your phone instead. Either way, your profile and selected routine are stored on our server, tied only to that code or link — not to your name or email.
If you choose the code option: nothing is stored unless you actively click to generate one, and anyone who has the code can restore the information behind it, so treat it like a password.
If you choose to text yourself a link instead: we ask for your phone number solely to send that one text message. Your number is not stored in our database at all — it's used only in that moment to send the text via a third-party SMS provider (Twilio), then discarded. That brief handling of your number and message content to deliver the text is governed by Twilio's own privacy policy.
Both options are opt-in only. A save is kept for 90 days and then automatically deleted.
If you choose to unlock the personalized dashboard, your completed analysis is briefly saved in your browser's own local session storage right before you're sent to pay, so you don't have to redo it after paying. This, too, is scoped to your browser session, is not accessible to us, and clears when you close the tab.
When you analyze a product, the text or photo you provide is sent to Anthropic's Claude API to generate the analysis. That processing is governed by Anthropic's own privacy policy.
The personalized dashboard and routine builder are currently free to use, with no payment required. If that changes in the future, this page will be updated to reflect it — and if payment is ever reintroduced, it would be handled entirely by Stripe, with Better Beauty never seeing or storing your card details directly.
Better Beauty's own code does not set advertising or tracking cookies. Stripe may set its own cookies during checkout as part of standard payment security and fraud prevention.
There is nothing to sell — Better Beauty doesn't retain your profile or analysis data beyond what's described above (your session, or an optional 90-day save code you generated yourself), and has no data-sharing arrangements with third parties beyond the processing described above.
Better Beauty is not intended for use by children under 13.
If how the site handles data changes, this page will be updated with a new "last updated" date above.
